The chill is in the air, so get your winter coats out of the closet, grab your leaf rake, mittens, large bags, and get ready for the Fall Color Run. We have gazed at the golden leaves near the Gibson Inn in Apalaclicola, marveled at the red maples near The Florida Inn in Fernandina Beach, now prepare yourself for this year’s Road Trip. This jaunt will dazzle you with nature’s beauty on a road trip to a historic Florida, Alabama, or Georgia landmark that is so exciting that we had to make this a three day trip. Over hill and dale, down picturesque byways, across RR tracks, over bridges, following a prescribed set of directions to our destination. This 5.5 - 6 hour scenic tour will depart The Villages on October 22, with a staggered start and return at your leisure on the 24th.
We have reserved 18 rooms in a historic and picturesque location, a nice dinner on the arrival evening, and of course cool refreshments will accompany the festivities. In addition we will include a free day to do what ever you want to do, with some recommended activities. This is a three day adventure to an undisclosed location, somewhere in SE US, beginning on October 22 and returning October 24.
We ( I ) have been ridiculed for making the previous routes too easy, giving too many hints, and being too descriptive of the destination. You can expect none of that. Roger and I have been working on this trip since January to make this a premiere event. This excursion will be more difficult than the others, so you will need to be on your “A” game to complete the route.
This is a premiere destination with many extra venues. We know that you will fill your extra day with those activities, shopping, exploring, or simply relaxing at the destination. The extra day is at your leisure as there are no planned activities. You will be delighted!
