EVENT REGISTRATION: Three things are required to register for this event (1) Click on the “Register Tab” on this page to let me know that you are planning to attend; (2) Complete the “2018 VFC Car Show Registration Form” that you can access from our website and mail ASAP along with your entry fee to Venice Florida Corvettes; and (3) make your hotel reservation. I will be contacting all attendees prior to the car show in order to determine your hotel choice and if you plan on attending the lunch and dinner.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS: The Venice Corvette Club’s host hotel is the Ramada Venice Hotel Venezia where there is an optional Welcome Party Saturday evening. Due to a two night minimum stay at this hotel, it is suggested that you select an alternate hotel. Elaine and I will be staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 881 Venetia Bay Blvd., Venice, FL 34292. Phone (941) 488-5900. This hotel is located approximately 4 minutes from the car show location.
DEPARTURE TIME: 2 hour & 30 minute trip. Depart at 9:15 AM. There will be 1 stop in route to stretch and use the facilities. Upon our arrival in Venice we will be having lunch at Sharkey’s on Venice Beach.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
This event will begin on Saturday morning when we all meet at Eisenhower Recreation Center for the caravan to Venice. Upon our arrival in Venice, which is The Sharks Tooth Capital of The World, we will proceed to Sharkey’s on Venice Beach for lunch at the most popular restaurant in all of Venice. The menu has a great variety of food and drink and it is all superb.
After lunch, you will be free to walk the Venice pier or beach or if you prefer you can travel to downtown Venice and visit all the great shops on Venice Avenue.
Dinner reservations have been made for 5:30PM at Flynn’s on Venice Ave., 133 W. Venice Ave., Venice, FL 34285. Located in Historic Downtown Venice among lots of shops, it will be a pleasant way to spend the evening. We will not be attending the Venice Club’s poolside welcome party.
The car show in Historic Downtown Venice will be held from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday. We will be assembling near the show site at 7:20AM (actual location yet to be determined) in order that we can all arrive and park together.
For those spending Sunday night in Venice, you’re on your own.
