I pulled into my garage to park my C5 and the transmission shifter felt funny as I put on the brake and shifted to Park. The transmission did NOT go into Park, it was still in gear. I applied the brake again and moved the shifter back and forth but it would not go into Park. I turned off the ignition, moved the shifter back and forth. It felt loose. I tried to start the engine by applying the brake but it will not start. I have dead C5 in the garage with the transmission in Drive. Hopefully a club member will be familiar withe this issue to help me diagnose the problem and get it resolved... maybe a broken or loose transmission cable? Any recommendations for a local shop to make repairs? Any recommendation for a towing service if that becomes necessary?
