Member George B took his 2014 Stingray there to have his rear Michelin Pilot EMT (run-flat) patched.  This is not normally done as it negates the “Z” rating of the tire but they said they do it all the time.  This after visiting another local tire “stealer” who refused to patch it but was more than willing to sell me a brand new tire for $300+.  Easy decision, now I just have to keep it under 170 MPH to be safe.

As many of you may (or may not) know, Chris took time from his very busy schedule to come to our June 2015 meeting and gave an exciting presentation showing many examples of his spectacular paint work and answering many “how-to” questions about car paint care & maintenance.  He has done several member’s cars including the Chris Vinson’s “over the top” Torch Red 2014 C7 coupe, Tom Swier's 2020 Torch Red C8, Charlie Taylor’s 2007 C7 Arctic White roadster and others.  Chris has the talent to recreate nearly anything you want on, under, or in your Vette (or motorcycle if you have one).  His artistry and, more importantly, his creativity, is among the best I’ve seen in many years.

2020: Member George Borke took a hit on the front bumber/nose of his 2014 LimeRockGreen roadster.  Lime Rock Green is a very dark metallic green which I didn't think they'd match but when I picked up the car I could see absolutely no difference between the bumper and the rest of the car.  Excellent work. I highly recommend them.  A family owned and operated business. 

2020:  Villager Stephen Eddy - Elias & his wife were great to deal with. The repairs were completed in a timely fashion and without requiring any additional funds over what the insurance company allowed. I would use them in the future.

2019: Member Beverly Borke had a rear bumper dent on he BMW M240i removed after getting 3 other estimates, all of which were significantly MORE THAN that which Final Touch quoted.  About 3 months after the repair the spot turned a bit yellow.  Called them and was told to bring it in immediately and they'd make it right.  A year later spot is undetectable. 

2017: Member Rudy Neustadter had “paint match” issue with the top of his recently purchased 1961 Fawn Beige C1, it didn’t quite match the body of the car.  Elias was able to not only match it perfectly but made it look better

Gene McConkey had to have the yellow leather side/edge panel of the driver's seat replaced on his 1998 C5 Pace Car Edition.  Rosa removed the seat, matched the leather perfectly and reinstalled the seat at a very reasonable price.  According to Gene, the new piece matches exactly the color and texture of the rest of the seat.  June-2019

Spencer Towing is a local, family owned and operated roadside assistance and towing company. We offer jump start, tire change, fuel delivery, unlock service and flat bed towing.
C5's & C6's are inclined to suddenly, for no apparent reason, have the transmission cable break rendering the car immobile and useless.  Can't go forward, can't back up, can't even move the car because it's in PARK.  WTF do you do now?????

John Cross, a VVCC member, recently experienced this and called Spencer's based upon a recommendation by our club sponsor, NAHAS CHEVROLET.  John called them and was very pleased with the service even with his car on an incline in his driveway and the necessity for the service person to get under the car and release the tranny pawl. This seems to be a common occurrence with a lot of Vettes. They brought the car to Nahas and all is well…expensive fix….but well.  06/2019
This "family business" is worth calling if AND when you need a tow.  They're open till MIDNIGHT on Saturdays too.

Member David Murphy used them to purchase a set of Goodyear Eagle F1s for his '05.  Jim Logudice used them to remove his stock C6  polished rims and mount new $900 custom chrome rims on his '06.  Jim also used them to fix a flat from the inside on my '06 run flats and they gladly did it. No scratches, mars or blemishes for either job.

When I first  received my C8 HTC, I immediately brought it  to Total Recon to have it ceramic coated and of course it looked beautiful when it came out. As a part of the work they also did the brake calipers and did an off-wheel coating on the wheels also.  A task you often have to ask to be done and then have to pay extra for.  Not here, it was part of what they do.

But that is not the real reason I'm recommending.  My wife brought me to the shop in her 2011 Lexus (almost 10 year old car) with just under 200,000 miles on it.  While we did take good care of it, nonetheless it clearly showed its age, especially on the leather seats which were dirty and had some scratches on them.  Upon seeing the before/after pictures on Total Recon's web site, I asked if they could fix this car up, not really knowing what I was asking for.  They said "yes" and I took this car in for a total reconditioning.  I, and everyone I have shown the car to afterwards are totally amazed.  It truly looks like it came right off the show room floor like when we bought it.

This company is mobile so they'll come to your house or business and repair your painted and polished wheels on the spot (sorry, they can not repair chrome plated rims).  They're used by the BMW, PORSCHE, & MERCEDES dealers in Ocala and nearly all new & used car dealers in the tri-county area.  The BMW dealer said they have all their traded-in cars done by these guys before they go onto the lot. 
George Borke has had wheels on his wife's BMW M240i repaired twice and you CAN NOT tell where the scrapping occurred. Tom Swiers has used Tanner Barton on two occasions with excellent results and highly recommends him. His phone number is shown to the right
