1994 BRICKYARD CORVETTE RETURNS TO INDY

This 1994 Corvette Convertible will return to its original track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next weekend while on display in Mid America Motorworks' booth at Bloomington Gold. This NASCAR and motorsports racing fanatic's dream come true is also in search of a new home. Check it out in person in Indianapolis!
Little Red (Brickyard) Corvette
This Corvette is a genuine "Official Brickyard Corvette Convertible," one of only 25 special-purpose Corvettes built by Chevrolet to serve as official vehicles for the Inaugural NASCAR Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on August 6th, 1994. It was used for a special pre-race parade, transporting NASCAR drivers Ernie Irvan and Geoff Brabham around the Motor Speedway for the crowds. Of the 23 Corvette Convertibles Chevrolet built for this event, 12 were Black and 13 were Red.

The 23 Corvettes were only used on race day and are extremely rare. This particular Corvette is #75 out of 137 total Chevrolet vehicles used in support of the event. It has a 350/300 hp engine, automotive transmission, FX3 selective ride and handling, dual power seats, electronic A/C, Bose CD/Cassette player and extended mobility tires.
Since the 1994 Brickyard 400, this Corvette received the Chip's Choice Award at the annual Corvettes at Carlisle event. With approximately 16,000 miles, this Corvette is in excellent condition, still retaining the inaugural Brickyard 400 decals and parade flag mounts.

Race Day Results
As the inaugural Indianapolis 400 came to a close, Ernie Irvan was in a heated race against Jeff Gordon for the win. They were neck and neck, when Irvan ran over a piece of debris down the main stretch with just five laps to go. He slid high going into turn one, giving Gordon room to take the lead. Down the backstretch, Irvan's right front tire blew, and he was forced to the pits. Gordon took home the victory and Irvan finished the race in 17th place.
