Corvette Escort for Honor Flight Veterans
We need Volunteers to join the Sumter County Sheriff’s office, Fruitland Park Police and the Nomad Motorcycle Club to provide an escort for the veterans participating in the "Flightless" Honor Flight. The date is Saturday, Nov 23rd at Colony Cottage Rec Center on Route 466A in The Villages We need a minumum of TWENTY (20) CORVETTE owners to participate. More, if feasible. We will assemble at Colony Cottage Rec Center no later than 1:30 P.M. There you may come inside and greet the veterans. The vets will come out of Colony about 1:45 PM at which point we will help escort their buses to the American Legion Post. We will have plenty of time to return to our cars as the loading process is very slow. The caravan will proceed from Colony Cottage, to 466A all the way up to 441, then WEST on 466 the Legion post. As we did last year, Corvettes will pass in front of the post and turn right to park behind the main building.
