As you've probably read in the Daily Sun, The Villages Regional Hospital in conjunction with the University of Florida Medical has quickly and efficiently dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic since it was first discovered/announced. The Villages Regional Hospital Foundation has formed a "PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS FUND to support LOCAL efforts to better prepare our community for viral outbreaks now, and in the future. Ms. Catherine Reardon heading up this new initiative. This cruise is to raise money for this worthy cause. Each participant will be donating $30 (or more) upon registering. These participant donations combined with a club's donation will be greatly appreciated. We'll be leaving St.Timothy's via a circuitous route to TVRH-UF HEALTH for a presentation of a check to the hospital's board chairman. Press coverage will be provided by the DAILY SUN, Ms. Sherri Coner. From TVRH UF HEALTH we'll proceed to the Fire Station 45 on Buena Vista (across from the Eisenhower Reg. Rec. Center) and present them with a donation to help our dedicated first responders. Should this cruise hit it's 30 car capacity there is a WAIT LIST page where you can add your name to a waiting list for this cruise. Should it be deemed possible, a CORVETTE CAVALCADE II cruise will organized. Members on the waiting list will be given right of first refusal to join that event.
