If you find your rear license plate lights are flickering or out completely it means the cheap-ass LED bulbs GM used have gone bad. I suggest replacing them with

T10 LED - 194 LED Bulb - W5W Bulb - 2825 168 T-10 158 192 LED Bulb - Licence Plate Car Interior Map Light Bulbs - T10 Wedge - Extremely Bright - Xenon White - LED Error Free - 3030 Chipset

these:  The factory incandescents are very weak.  These'll light up the entire area, day and night.
